L. Erickson Ponytail Holders

Using L. Erickson ponytail holders are literally one of the best things I've gifted my hair. They have significantly reduced hair tie related breakage, and basically eliminated breakage around my crown. I have fine and thin hair, which makes me susceptible to breakage, but I do not see strands of hair left on the hair tie when I take these off. I 10/10 recommend these hair ties as they have helped me retain length.

The hair tie stretches and accommodates thick and dense hair. For thin haired people, they are stretchy, and will hold your hair snug without tugging or snagging. They are secure and hold hair in place.

These ponytail holders are around $10 for eight ties. I bought mine from Amazon after reading several positive reviews. Although they may be slightly more expensive than other hair ties, they are durable, and made of non-damaging elastic which can save hair from unnecessary breakage. Give them a try!

Benefit They’re Real mascara review

After trying the Benefit They’re Real mascara, I am extremely impressed with the natural lash lengthening results. The Benefits They’re Real mascara has tiny pieces of lashes formulated into its substance to give longer natural looking lashes without the clump. The fluid has a watery consistency that makes the lashes look natural. The brush is made up of a plastic wand with short bristles that extends to the tip of the brush for easy application onto smaller lashes in the corner of the eye. The bristles also help with separating the lashes. And after wearing the Benefit They’re Real mascara for a long period of time the mascara doesn't smudge. But what I like most about the Benefit They’re Real mascara is that it doesn't clump and make my lashes look over done. Benefit They’re Real mascara is a little bit pricey however you get just a little bit more benefit with the Benefit They’re Real mascara.

Helena Contrast Waistband Jersey Maxi Skirt review.

This is by far the best fitting and most comfortable skirt I have ever worn. The fabric is soft and in my opinion a good quality fabric. It doesn't wrinkle when you sit down and it holds its shape without stretching and losing its flexibility. The fabric is also lightweight. I brought 2 and I plan to purchase more in different colors. The color that I am wearing is the khaki color.

As an Influenster panel member I received a free complementary holiday VoxBox to try. Inside my holiday VoxBox was a free sample of the imPRESS press-on manicure and I love the convenience and ease of putting them on. The set came in a cute nail polish bottle shape. There are 24 nail covers, and 12 different nail sizes. I was able to match up each fake nail with my nail size with no problems. My hands are thin, so it is hard to find at home manicures that will fit onto my nails. The directions are straight forward and easy to follow. You just take the plastic backing off of each nail and apply it to your own nail.  And what I love most is that there was no drying time, and the glue has a strong adhesive bond that is long wearing. These nails are great for special occasions, or casual days when wearing your favorite pair of jeans. Applying them only took 5 minutes and it looks like I had a professional manicure that cost more money that I am willing to pay. These nails are definitely keepers and I plan to continue buying. Rapid Lash works well for growing thin sparse lashes. In the past I would wear false eyelashes daily which took a toll on my lashes. Before I started to use Rapid Lash my lashes were so thin that they had bald spots. They were very brittle and extremely short also. I began to see visible results after two weeks of daily use. My lashes were healthy looking and less dry and brittle. After the first month there was noticeable length and thickness in my lashes. I continued the use of Rapid lash for another month and by that time my lashes were completely rejuvenated and even fuller and longer than they have ever been. I gained confidence in my appearance and I no longer was embarrassed about my own lashes. I had the confidence to wear my lashes without mascara. It has been about 9 months now since I stopped using Rapid lash and my lashes are still long, healthy and thick. I am so excited that I no longer need to wear false eyelashes. However, the only negative side effect of this product is the fact that it makes your eyelids darker and also gave me the dark circles under my eyes because I would also apply it on my lower. This issue fades after about a few weeks of stopping. So overall this experience with the darkening of my eyelids and under eye was not a problem because I was able to conceal the dark shades until my lashes regain a healthy appearance. So if you don't have a problem using a eye concealer to hide the dark circles then I recommend the new Lash eyelash growth to help you gain longer and fuller lashes.

I am extremely pleased with the NYX primer base. NYX primer base makes the eye shadow stay on for a longer periods of time without creasing. The primer base allows the eyeshadow to truly intensify the color and enhanced the color of the eyeshadows. The primer is great for people with oily eyelids because it controls the oil to keep eyeshadow color in place. This base allows you to blend and fade the eyeshadow’s colors easily without smearing them together. NYX primer base is a great alternative to the higher priced primer potion products because it is much cheaper at just about $3 vs. $18 and it does the same exact thing, if not better. A little will last you a long time. It is creamy and goes on smoothly to your eyelids without any extra tugging or pulling. NYX primer base comes in two colors, white and nude. Both works well to give you a natural skin tones as it will blend into your eyelid to even the tone and work as a primer to make the color of the eyeshadow more intensely vibrant. I definitely recommend using the NYX primer base over the more expensive higher price primer base products. NYX primer base is high end at an affordable price with exceptional results. Love it.

When I look for shadow I look for a color that will stay in place without flaking or smearing. I also wanted a shadow that would not streak and one there would not settle between the creases of my eyelid. I was so impressed with the vibrant fashionable colors of the L'Oreal HIP high intensity pigmented concentrated eye shadow duo. In addition, the L'Oreal HIP High Intensity Pigmented concentrated shadow duos are long wearing. I especially appreciate the rich powder texture of the eye shadows in the way they smooth onto your eyelid without settling in the crease. I love that they have two shades that or coordinated to give you a detailed stylish appearance. I appreciate that the L'Oreal HIP High Intensity Pigmented concentrated shadows duo comes in a variety of shades that are suitable for daytime wear and also eveningwear. Love this product and I definitely will recommend the L'Oreal HIP high intensity pigmented concentrated eye shadow.

I was looking for a lip color that would condition and moisturize while at the same time improve the condition of my dry chapped lips. I didn't want to apply a lip chap under my lipstick because it would make my lips feel heavily coated and it would also cost the color of my lip stick to bleed over into my foundation. I tried a number of brands that made my lips feel drier and they would become dry, flaky and at times they would peel. I decided to try the new L'Oreal HIP high intensity pigmented shine struck liquid lip color. I was extremely surprised at the performing effect of this liquid lip color. It was extremely conditioning and it doesn't leave your lips with a dry or cracked appearance when you take it off. It last all day and the color is vibrant, with a deep intensifying color. In addition, it leaves your lips healthier and in better condition. It doesn't bleed and it stays in place. I especially love the way it leave your lips feeling soft and moisturize. There are many beautiful shades available for all skin tones. Love this product and I definitely will recommend it.

New Paint Color for the New Year

Every year I always have a list of home improvement chores to do for my New Year's resolution. This year I plan to stop by Sears’s hardware department to pick up Easy Living interior and exterior paint. I am so inspired by beautiful colors of makeup that I always go to my makeup bag to pull out my favorite color that looks great on me. Then I trot over the local Sears hardware department to pick out my favorite color with my makeup bag in hand. You'd be surprised at how close of a match that you can get from using your favorite makeup and clothing color to use on your walls. And by using simple items such as your clothing and makeup, can help you to narrow down the right color that you are most comfortable with using long term. I also plan to pick up some handy painting tools such as paint rollers, paint brushes and also the must-have painting tape.

My most favorite part of planning my do it yourself painting projects is selecting the right color for the right room.

I received a free sample of L'Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse total eye correcting system from Bzzagent.com. I have suffered with dark circles under my eyes for many years and I've tried multiple products and home remedies without a lot of results. I've been using the L'Oreal collagen Micro-Pulse total correcting system for two weeks. This product claims to immediately see improvements in the smoothing of crow’s feet and the reduction of bags under the eyes.

The way this product is supposed to work is to apply a small amount of the cream twice a day under the eye. Then you proceed by massaging the under eye with the micro-pulsed massaging tool that is attached to the cream container top. You are to perform this routine twice a day, morning and night for 10 seconds per eye. The eye cream is a moisturizing cream that claims diminish the dark circle appearance. It contains a collagen to help smooth away wrinkles and crow's feet. The micro-pulsed massaging works by circulating and stimulating the tissue to reduce the puffiness under your eye.

Favorable views:

So I found this product acceptable and effective in moisturizing my under eye area. A lot of times what promotes dark circles under the eye is dryness. Dryness also encourages more wrinkles therefore, this product works in a way to reduce the dryness thereby adding moisture to diminish these unwanted conditions. And I especially love the micro-pulse feature of this product because it is very relaxing and it is therapeutic to relax your muscle in your face. I have seen some results with this product and I've only been using it for two weeks. It has reduced the puffiness under my eye and my under eye skin is much more moisturized.

Not so favorable views:

Not sure of how long the battery will last.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto review

I rate this mascara a 4.8/5 for the length, volume and curl it gives lashes.

Favorable views:


The first time I tried this mascara I was pleasantly surprised at how well it curled my lashes without using an eyelash curler. The curved brush and the formula help to encourage lashes to curl, thicken and lengthen. This mascara thickens the lashes to give you the appearance of fake lashes. You can apply more than 3 coats without having to worry about it clumping or flaking together. It doesn't make your eyelashes to feel stiff, with Lash Stiletto your lashes are still flexible and clean looking. I did not notice any smudging around the eye and I didn't even purchase the waterproof version. This mascara does work to give you longer, thicker and curlier lashes.

Not so favorable views:

It is a little difficult to reach the tiny lashes on the inside corner of the eye because of the extra mascara that collects on the tip of the brush.

L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara review

I rate this mascara a 4.8/5 for its lengthening.

Favorable views:


This mascara is great for separating and lengthening your lashes. A lot of people who have used this mascara complain about the mascara clumping too much. I believe that this all comes with the technique you use to apply it. Even though there is a stopper on the tube you are still left with a thick coating of mascara on the neck of the brush. This becomes a slight issue for when you apply the mascara the thick coating of mascara gets on some of your lashes. My solution to this is to move the brush horizontally across your lashes to try to distribute the mascara. When each coat dries remember to start applying the mascara to the root of your lashes and hold it for a couple of seconds when you get to the tip of your lashes. The brush is unique in the fact that the brush is a small, spherical spike. The spike allows you to get to the small lashes in the inside corner of your eye. This mascara also lengthens each lash dramatically without clumping, when you get used to applying it. Whenever I wear this mascara people comment on how long my lashes are and if they are false. I gladly tell them that my eyelashes are real and that I used L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara. The spike allows you to really lift your eyelashes and separate them to make them look feather-like and amazing. This mascara is more of a lengthening rather than thickening mascara, but nonetheless this mascara is definitely worth it if you strive for super long lashes. Don't get discouraged if this mascara doesn't work for you, there are other mascaras out there.

Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion review

This mascara is great for length, therefore I rate this mascara a 4.1/5.


Favorable view:

I received this product free from Bzzagent.com. I usually don't purchase Covergirl mascara because I am more of a Maybelline girl, but because I received this as a free sample I decided to try it. The tube is bigger than most mascara tubes, it stands out from the rest of my mascaras. The brush is an average size for a brush, but the bristles on this one are shorter than what I have seen in the past. I find that this mascara does a great job of giving you long lashes without clumping them. This mascara is more of lengthening mascara as opposed to volumizing. It works great on short lashes to lengthen, and it gives you a nice clean look. No clumping, flaking and no smudging even with the non-waterproof!

Not so favorable:

The only con I have for this mascara is that it doesn't provide the volume that some people strive for. So if you are looking for length this is the mascara for you, and it is priced at about $9.99 I think it was well worth it. Write me a comment on how you felt about this mascara!

Colossal Lash Mascara by Maybelline review

This mascara is a must have to achieve long eloquent eyelashes. The mascara pros outweigh the cons so therefore I am rating Colossal a 4.8/5.


My favorable view:

I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. Let me first start off with the Pros of this mascara. The first application of mascara that you apply on bare lashes greatly lengthens and coats your lashes. You will see a definite dramatic effect on your lashes due to the brush type and the formula. The large brush fans your lashes out to prevent clumping. Therefore it separates the lashes giving them a feather like desirable appearance. Colossal Lash Mascara not only lengthens lashes greatly, but it also gives your lashes volume. In addition, I did not notice any smudging and it washes off with ease. I would say that Colossal is more of a dramatic night time mascara, but you can definitely wear this in daytime if you like intense eyelashes. This mascara is a win-win, and for only about $7.50 you have nothing to lose! So if you want a dramatic lash lengthening and volumizing effect on your lashes try Colossal Lash out and write me a comment on how you felt about the mascara.

Not so favorable:

The brush on this mascara is larger than some of the other popular mascaras so getting to those short eyelashes in the inside corner of your eye might be a little tough. The other con is that after excessive applications of this mascara you lashes start to clump together. Another con is that it flakes after a couple of days of use.

Maybelline Define a Lash Mascara review

This mascara is great for a natural elongated mascara look, therefore I rate this mascara a 4.4/5.

Favorable view:

This mascara gives a natural mascara look, nothing too dramatic. It does lengthen the lashes without flaking or clumping. You can apply over 3 coats while still having that “defined” and clean look. The name of this mascara lives up to its expectations because the short bristles on the brush do define, lengthen and separate each lash. The brush neck is flexible so it glides on the lashes for beautiful, long lashes. I bought the waterproof formula and did not notice any smudging.

Not so favorable view:

This mascara is more in the daytime mascara. Therefore if you looking for that evening dramatic full look this mascara doesn't give you the volume dramatic after five look.
